We stock a 1-1/8" version in Antique Gold, or in any of 5 different hardwood species, both Raw and Finished. We also offer Adjustable Float Frames in six different Hardwoods that are created to meet your more custom needs. Why Not Purchase Your Panel and Frame at the Same Time:

Once you have chosen your style and size of panel offered on our Artist and Photographers page, scroll down to the matching size Float Frame in column one on the table below and read across the rows. Column two and three are the Shallow style frames for the 3/8" Panels and column four is the Tall style for our special Box Panels.

Use the drop down tabs to choose your species of wood or in the case of the Shallow Basswood in column 3, to select your depth and finish. It is that easy!!

Plein Air Style Float Frames:

If you are working "en Plein-Air", the Raphael's Plein Air Style Float Frames will be a perfect fit for you. They are created with either a 3" wide or 5" wide Linen Wrapped Panel Liner (similar to the one included in the image at the top of this page) inserted into one of our beautiful Hardwood Float Frames. With 5 Linen choices, New Ivory, Black, New Oyster White, Natural Linen and Manhasset Tan, and 7 different Hardwood Frame options, there is most certainly a Frame and Liner combination that will truly enhance your artwork. Please see below for design drawings and pictures of the 3" and 5" wide versions. The smaller frames may also be coordinated with one of our custom Easelbacks using the same color Linen on the back as that which covers the Panel Liner on the front. The sizes shown in the first column are the Raphael's Primed and Canvas Panel dimensions that the frames are designed to fit around. The outside dimension of the finished frame is about 1 1/8" larger in both directions.

Raphael's Plein Air Style Float Frames:

The image below shows the Plein Air Style Frame with a 3" Natural Linen Liner and Mahogany Hardwood Float Frame. It also has an Easelback attached for table top display covered with the same linen as shown in the second picture.

The image below shows the 5" Black Liner with a Canarywood Hardwood Float Frame. These Plein Air style frames are avialable in any one of 7 different Hardwoods and 5 different Linens. Remember to order your canvas wrapped panel and frame at the same time. Once your artwork is complete, just insert the panel into the frame and begin to display it immediately.

The sizes shown in the first column are the Raphael's Primed and Canvas Panel dimensions that the frames are designed to fit around. The outside dimensions of the finished frames on the 3" wide Liner version are 6 3/4" larger in both directions and on the 5" Liner version they are 10 3/4" larger. If you are purchasing your panels from a different manufacturer, the sizes should be readily transferrable. For example - on the 6 x 6 size, the opening to receive the panel would be 6 1/8" x 6 1/8" and should easily accept any panel sold at a 6 x 6 dimension. Custom sizes are available for a nominal additional charge. Please contact us for information.
